Contraindications
tablets should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to clonidine

Drug-Food-Lab Interactions
Clonidine may potentiate the CNS-depressive effects of alcohol, barbiturates or other sedating drugs.

Pharmacokinetics
peaks:3 to 5 hours
half-life ranges:12 to 16 hours
half-life increases up to 41 hours in patients with severe impairment of renal function
40-60% of the absorbed dose is recovered in the urine as unchanged drug in 24 hours.
50% of the absorbed dose is metabolized in the liver.

tachycardia, tremors;
bradycardia; feeling short of breath,
swelling, rapid weight gain;
confusion, hallucinations;
flu symptoms; urination problems;
