Cough is a symptom, not a disease, a concomitant defensive reaction of the organism designed to clear the respiratory tract from foreign elements. This is the reaction to dust, foreign objects, begma. Honey contains reagents that help to expose mucus from the bronchi. Combine any other empiric remedies with honey for cough. Mix it with warm water, milk, lemon or onion sap. Or apply honey compresses to the back for the night.

Lemon. Citrus fruits are very rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C gives improves immunity. Citric acid, like all organic acids, is able to kill numerous bacteria and microbes. If coughing is painful, inhalation with lemon juice may be helpful. Scrub a piece of sugar with a lemon peel and let the sugar melt in the tongue. Sucking a slice of lemon is useful to prevent instant coughing. It is also suggested to take a teaspoon of grated ginger with honey and lemon 3 times per day.

It stimulates bronchial secretion and increases the amount of mucus. The recipes are simple and low cost. Mix onion sap with honey, milk, cook sweet onion syrup or jam.

Black radish. Radish is a natural cough suppressant. This is a strong immunostimulator and an active antimicrobial agent. The root is a rich with vitamin C. Black radish contains phytoncides. Juice is used as compresses and grindings. Cut out the middle of a radish and fill the cavity with honey, leave the root for 24 hours. Then eat a teaspoonful of honey with juice 3-4 times a day. 50 grams of radish per day during one week restore vitality and energy, strengthen the body and increase resistance to viruses.

Garlic. The key component of garlic – allicin – blocks the pathogenic bacteria penetration to the human body. This effect is equated with the action of antibiotics. Garlic reduces inflammation of the mucous membrane of the respiratory system, dilutes sputum and helps it to release. Health value of garlic contributes to active longevity. When you cough, it is recommended to rub your feet with garlic or boil 5 cloves of garlic in 300 ml of milk, take 50 ml 3 times a day. Mix garlic juice with lemon and honey to stop coughing.

Aloe vera. A large number of antimicrobial extractives contained in aloe juice, support the rapid regeneration of tissues and stop the inflammatory process. It is an immune stimulator, kills pathogenic microorganisms, and helps the body to recover. In combination with honey and lemon, aloe juice helps to ease inflammation, and combined in equal proportions with cowberries, as well as honey, makes the best medicine for cough.

Salvia. Sage is rich in antibiotics and successfully fights harmful bacteria, fungi, and protozoa. Essential oils have rejuvenating action. The performance and concentration of memory increases, the blood circulation of the brain improves, and, in general, the activity of the nervous system promotes. Salvia tea, pledget or pills are good dry cough remedies.

Eucalyptus. Essential oils are well-known remedies for cough, used for inhalation. Tree leaves contain a large percentage of cineol – a substance with strong antiseptic, expectorant properties. High concentration of vitamin E provides antioxidant features. Eucalyptus can be mixed with tea, oil is used to spin out the thorax, pills with eucalyptus are effective remedies for cough.

Raspberry jam. Warm tea with raspberry or viburnum jam has an excellent soothing and anti-inflammatory effect. Delicious berries reduce body temperature, activate the immune forces and restore the energy balance. Raspberry soften the cough reflex and fight with pathogenic microorganisms.
