Good diet

His reasons of joining the gym are health and training, therefore this means his ready to work hard and keep a good diet. From the information above, in the questionnaire and in the bullet points showing his strength, helps us identify how fit he is and how capable is he to join a gym. He is being in gyms before, therefore he wouldn’t need a long induction on the machines. The client never hard serious illnesses or injuries and he is perfectly healthy, for this reason it is safe for him to join the gym and easier for us, as we don’t have to make sure he is doing exercises wrong, etc.

The Weaknesses of my client are: He is not been in a gym recently, therefore some machines might be new for him He is allergic to dust and animals, which means lose of breathing, might be the consequences. Nowadays gyms are getting more famous, therefore new machinery comes very often, so my client might need demonstrations for them and be taught the perfect technique of them to avoid injuries. Also being allergic to something while doing sports can be dangerous as maybe only a person who owns a pet in their home, could bring an allergic reaction to my client, the lose of breath might be the reaction, therefore we should be alarmed of this if something happens to this client.

My second client My second client is a basketball player. Basketball players need power, muscular endurance, stamina and flexibility. This is why I’m going to run a series of tests that will benefit him, to make sure he has the proper fitness level for his sport. First I’m going to carry out the seat and reach test, which tests the flexibility he is got in his leg and back muscles, which are needed in basketball for a certain drills.

Next I am going to make sure he does the YMCA step test, which tests the stamina he has to run back and forward in the court. To test his power we are going to make him do the standing long jump, which tests his leg power for his lay-ups and blocks. Finally we are going to test his upper body muscular endurance by doing the one minute press up test, which will show how strong my client is for putting pressure towards the opponents in other teams at a game. The tests has shown that he is relatively fit, he had an average result for his 1 minute sit ups which shows he does have good abdominal strength and endurance for his volleyball skills, his flexibility was perfect, this means he is capable of achieving every technique in volleyball and get difficult balls.

His body mass index was between the range of 0.9 – 0.98 which means he has a healthy body mass and he is not in risk of getting coronary heart diseases, diabetes or hypertension. Finally the power test, which was tested by doing the standing long jump, was excellent, which means he has good power on his legs to be able to spike or block the ball at the net. My client has a good fitness level, with outstanding results such as in his standing long jump test and his flexibility, and not such a good results in his abdominal strength and endurance or his hip and waist test. In my opinion everything can be developed even for a better result, therefore I’m going to recommend him some exercise to carry out, to get better at a certain exercise or keep it as good.

In his 1min sit up test, he got an average result, this can be improved by doing certain abdominal exercises, such as; 3 series of 15 normal abdominals with a break of 20 seconds, or you also can do an abdominal circuit training, adding weights and a Swiss ball. The flexibility of Philip was perfect, but flexibility is a thing that will go away if it’s not trained therefore. Therefore he would need to do a several of stretches everyday holding them for about 30-40 seconds, this should be a routine, just before going to sleep or whenever he is bored.

His body mass index was between the range of the data, but it was close to be over it, therefore what he should do is to make sure he does some cardiovascular exercise, maybe running for 20 to 30 minutes 3 days a week to make sure his aerobic fitness level keeps healthy. Finally his standing long jump was perfect, had an amazing result of 2.53cm which is very good, this shows he has good power and right technique at doing the test, but the strength on his leg might also decrease if they are not being exercised, therefore he should make sure he does some leg exercise, maybe leg curls or leg presses, which will make him obtain even better results. Hopefully this series of exercise will make him improve his weak fitness components and get better results on his already perfect tests.
