What is garcinia cambogia?

Garcinia cambogia (Malabar tamarind) is a tropical plant that belongs to St. John’s Wort family and cultivated in Asia, Africa and India it bears citrus green, red and yellow fruit. The weight loss supplement garcinia cambogia is neither studied, nor regulated, nor time-tested by the FDA. Manufacturers may determine on their own the amount of extract contained in tablets, as well as the percentage and types of various substances that affect health.
