A Peek Through my Journey towards Nursing

My pursuit of the medical field is a resumption of my interest in the world of science. Thus, among the medically associated courses, I specifically opted for nursing. At a very tender age, my desire for this career path was already conspicuous, and I have a handful of reasons to bring about this persuasion to become a nurse. One of these reasons is that most of my relatives are nursing degree holders, and upon observing their way of life, I can see that it offers a greener pasture.

This matter-of-fact objective is just an additional advantage since my family was indeed the principal influence why I have come to a final decision, and that would be choosing this field. Several precarious illnesses, namely, heart disease, diabetes mellitus, and the ever-lethal cancer, are very prevailing and high-risk in the family. Having our lives in jeopardy because of these predominant and traitorous afflictions have further increased my determination and encouraged me to pursue this profession.

I know learning a lot of things about this craft will enable me to grasp completely certain things that will be of huge help for preventing such illnesses from debilitating anyone from my family. I am also enthusiastic to impart this knowledge to other people outside my circle of clan. Well, that is where nobility and beneficence comes in a person. I view nursing as more than an art rather than a science but most of the time, people and nurses themselves are very neglectful of what the profession truly means.

We sometimes fail to remember and omit the privilege given to nurses which is the most caring and passionate calling, and that is what I will be most proud of someday—to embody a genuinely committed and humanist nurse in the future years to come. However, I know that nothing beats the feeling of satisfaction and selflessness once I achieve this most virtuous occupation.
